A gang of unidentified miscreants has attacked pastor Jacob, 43, with iron rods near his house at Badangpet village under Vanasthalipuram police station limits on 28 th February, Tuesday night. The pastor sustained gravies head injuries and was shifted to nearby private hospital. Confirming the attack, Vanasthalipuram Inspector Sidda Reddy told that the unidentified persons rounded up the pastor in darkness and hit him on his head and fled after he shouted for help. He was reportedly attacked earlier also. Reasons behind the assault were not known yet.

AICC has deputed a fact-finding team headed by Rev. Satyam Yellasari, State Coordinator to enquire into the details of the attack.
